Citizens' Initiative Review Bill Passes the Senate!

Yesterday, June 16th, HB 2895A passed the Oregon State Senate by a vote of 23-7!
Great thanks and congratulations are in order for Sen. Rick Metsger, who carried the Bill on the Senate floor and had this to say about the successful legislation:
"The creation of these panels complements Oregon's tradition of citizen engagement in the political process."
We could not agree more. We would also like to thank Co-Chief Sponsors Representatives Chris Harker and Ben Cannon, and Senator Doug Whitsett for their support and hard work in seeing the Citizens' Initiative Review Bill through to its successful passage.
HB 2895A now heads to Gov. Kulongoski's desk for his signature.
